How to Use Podomatic

Which podcasts do you listen to? My favorite is Joel Osteen. He has weekly podcasts which talks about deepening your faith in a language that everyone understands.

Have you ever wondered if you can create your own podcasts? I did and when I used google on how to do it, it lead me to Podomatic.

Podomatic is a website that specializes in the creation of tools and services that let users find, create, distribute, promote and listen to both audio and video podcasts. It supports different media types such as Flash, MPEG and MP3.

It allows users to search, create and share podcasts and minicasts on a variety of different subjects, including fitness and diet. Podcasts, made popular by Apple and iTunes, are a series of digital media files that are often released as episodes in a series that are available for user download. A minicast is a photo slideshow set to an audio track users upload from their computers. There are two versions of PodOmatic to choose from, a basic free version and a more elaborate paid PRO version. It is very simple to use. Try it!

How to Use Scribd

  Image from www.iplanmagazine.com

Can you scroll down below, please? At the bottom is my tutorial on how to upload files in Scridb. How did I include this tutorial? First, I created a PPT and then converted it to PDF and uploaded it in www.scribd.com. Isn't it amazing? My PPT is in my blog. :)

Scribd is a digital documents library that allows users to publish, discover and discuss original writings and documents in various languages. Scribd is a self-publishing platform where you can not only publish articles, but also share files, like a viral short eBook you created, for instance!

This can include articles, eBooks, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, pictures, and other stuff.  It combines the publishing aspect with social marketing! It's an amazing concept where peers rule the web and companies are a second though to a consumer's buying decision.

Scribd is really easy to use. I'm going to show you how shortly. But more importantly - it's FREE! Gotta love those free sites, right?

What Can You Do on Scribd?

Anyone can upload their documents and presentations. Think of it like a big ole library where you walk in and put your own book on the shelf! And thanks to their Flash browser, readers can 'check out" your document right in their browser - without having to download it onto their hard drive.
You can publish your documents, embed them, and convert them - all within Scribd. Instead of filling up your hard drive with reports and articles, you can post them here and share them.

For a marketer, this means exposure and links - two of the most important things in your online success. You can use Word, Text Documents, HTML, JPEGs, PowerPoint, PDFs, Excel Spreadsheets, LITs, Postscripts, and a very important feature - audio files!

From a marketing standpoint, it's important that you get to see stats with your uploads, so Scribd lets you see who's viewing your files. It tells you where they live and how they found it (like from Google, for instance).

Scribd lets your page with your document earn its own PageRank. You can do a bulk upload, too, if you need to get a bunch of content up quickly.

Since this is a social platform, you're going to have feedback from the public square - meaning, people are going to give you "likes" and comment on your files. You can claim whatever copyrights to your files that you want to so that they won't get stolen and reused (or at least, they're not supposed to).

Scribd, like most sites now, has its own algorithm, so you want to use the site to your advantage, but while keeping in line with their rules and etiquette so that your documents perform to their best ability.

How to Use Google Forms

Google Forms is a useful tool to help you plan events, send a survey, give students a quiz, or collect other information in an easy, streamlined way. A Google form can be connected to a Google spreadsheet. If a spreadsheet is linked to the form, responses will automatically be sent to the spreadsheet. Otherwise, users can view them on the “Summary of Responses” page accessible from the Responses menu.

I have actually used Google Forms in one of the websites that I created. It is for a networking company. In order for us to get more memberships, we create online membership forms. Google forms is very useful. Please check out the tutorial below so you can start creating forms online!

Share anywhere - How to Use Dropbox

I love to read ebooks and when I there's one that I really love. I share it to my friends. However, I find it difficult to send it to them through email especially if they are large in size. Then I discovered Dropbox.

Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Never email yourself or your friends a file again! It is a free online storage space. Isn't it great?

I created a tutorial below so you can share files without the hassle of emailing them.

Dropbox offers easy ways to share files or folders. Shared folders are ideal for groups of people who work on the same files together. When you create a shared folder and add other people to it, its files will appear in their Dropbox just as they do in yours. Any member of the folder can add, delete, or edit files within that folder.
